Nice there is no reason the coloration wouldn’t have originally been closer to your enhancements . One of the first finds I made I have always considered likely an eagle or other raptor effigy, I will take some pics and post here later if you don’t mind. It isn’t a great piece but always liked as it was a part of what made me believe in my eye.

Yeah, im getting it, looks like its broken at the Tip of the head, also shows a fish I think, and then well so much inside the boarders and im sure of none of it besides the thumb.
