This was found around the Lower Nueces River Valley. It was actually in a pile of rocks that's used to make roads for pipeline workers. I was really impressed with the creativity and detail. Yes its a figure stone, but not proof of Neanderthals unfortunately, but your interpretation of a Neanderthal face is fair, looks like human facing right on the opposite side. There is another common ape/gorilla face in there two, along with a mammoth depiction. Could be a ape face stack at the bottom of the last picture too.

It could be worth closing one eye, and looking along the left side in the orientation shown in the picture., turning so that upper surface almost but not quite conceals the left side. Looks like a clever anamorphic optical illusion of a gorilla face is concealed there

If you turn the stone as shown above, clockwise so that the bottom left corner is now at the top centre, adjust viewing angle slightly, horse with mane eating a flower??
