This discovery of very partial skull remains is supposedly of a child between 4 and 6 years old, note how tiny it is.

It is very tiny however it's actually tiny even for a Homo naledi. 15 Homo naledi found in the same cave averaged 143.6 cm (4 ft 9 in) and weighed 39.7 kg (88 lb). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_naledi

Tiny for the current specimens yes, but larger more robust remains are more likely to survive to the present day. I worked out a projected adult height for Leti using mean height for UK adults, averaging for sex also. If the exponents are similar, they always are, the projected adult height for Leti is 125cm, about 1/6th shorter than the previous average. Comparing this to a Uk adult, this would be like them having a height of 140cm, equivalent to the height of a UK 10 year old, in other words short Smile
