These 3 pieces are very good effigies;although not stone. One clearly is shell I think the other 2 are petrified wood.I will show pics of both sides and acouple angles. Brett let me know if these dont qualify for this category.

I couldn't qualify these as either elephant, bear or face frontal, but still they ate very interesting, the shell certainly does give a face profile description, although the face of what exactly I do not know. Likely just paradolia. The next one looks very much like an owl with a very quick parousal.

I thought the first one was a beautiful bird oh and it has 4 or 5 tiny holes around the edges as though it was worn

It could be modified? Like those shell finds I detected figuration in before, however there I had a large sample to make comparisons with. Modifying shells would make great sense from a figurative perspective, everyone can have exactly the same poly symbolic tool with very little effort, and removal of much of the error in conveyance of any meaning.

This looks like a worked flint axe for sure, flake removal and all, just not flint.....

The other one looks exactly like one have from Africa, same dark brown matiral and shspe. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I've not seen anything that comes close to this yet though, straight from my site that has the actual figurative flint tools to back it up.
