A pick/club? Definatley an artifact, and has usual finger, or thumb signature.... No idea with the materiel? looks iron rich....

Way cool. I have something similar which I assumed was a club or something like that, turns out it is probably one of the horse gallop drum sound makers. There is a flat spot at the base of the “handle” end of my piece and when you lay it flat on the table and push on the flat it makes the gallop quite well. Not saying that I’m sure about yours or even mine but a possibility.
