Portable rock art that has a close shape match

Tigs sent me this photo last night, an obvious piece of portable rock art, I took the following pictures of my own finds on Tuesday, a very close shape match can be seen.

A nice Auroch headed handtool Tigs38!

I'd love to see it cleaned up lightly with a soft brush and water, dried, then photographed with orange light from the sides

It looks like there are some interesting other images there.

The angle is right already Anil, it shows both legs and hoofs, front half convention.

The angle is ok, Brett yes.

But often, the oblique sides contain other images that are best seen from a lighted source at similar height to the rock.

Personally, I am more interested in the other images that can be seen if you look in this way, not the obvious images.

I often see images relating to cattle/hunting on such stones, however, when the stone is lit from a source at similar level to the rock, many other images appear that are there for only those who look past the obvious........

I often feel the stones i find depict 2 stories.

A conventional history when viewed one way and an alternative history when viewed another way.

I have seen a few possible stories in a couple of my finds, its just not the way I do things, I am looking for the mainstream to accept my basic lexicon and premise about this type of prehistoric symbology.
Back when I started I found a stone that appeared to depict a great battle between a badger and an elephant, who is going to take that seriously ? maybe all the 'scenes' could be extracted, but there were no numbers to say in which order they played out? Even a simpler possible story I found was of a man whos head was crushed by an elephant, it was there, ordinary head, elephant leg crushing, head with big dent in, I had pondered that the man whos head was crushed owned the stone, and perhaps begged for food, and as passers by perhaps silently? pointed at his head in a questioning expression, he showed the story to them through the stone.... but this is all speculation, not in the least part scientific at all.......

I know what you mean. I'm not sure why the so called scholars are stuck on rings and cups. I understand your stance.

My finds nearly always have peculiar images on them, i more often see faces depicted than animals, but then again I expect that, as the area i find the stones in is near a known Iron age settlement although the stones i find i am sure date back many thousand of years ( I estimate around 2000 to 10000 years old )

These stones make excellent skyring tools. They also seem to show recent events as well as historic ones. An ancient cinematic experience.

Southern UK appears to be the best place in the world to find these things....
This one is not one of mine and is just described as a paleolithic tool, nothing about figuration....., but the one below is, a very close match, and is one of mine...

Yeah, I think your probably right, this one as a hare like face too, only there for a second though...
